Energize and revitalize yourself with "Kripalu Yoga"
My Kripalu Yoga classes (Hatha) are all about awareness and the experience of connecting mind and body. Each Kripalu Yoga practice incorporates awareness in the breath while relaxing the mind and body as you delve into the sensations of the body.
The physical postures of Kripalu Yoga are tailored to your body. It's not about what the Asanas (postures) look like as much as it is about what they feel like. The essence of practicing Kripalu Yoga is to Breathe… Relax… Feel… Watch… and Allow. This makes Kripalu Yoga an exploration between the body and the mind, invoking calm and cultivating concentration.
My goal is to empower students to realize their full potential through the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga. My intention is to create a safe and sacred space for you to explore and delve deep into your true self.
"Let Your Yoga Dance" Let Your Yoga Dance is a practice that takes yoga off the mat and allows you to explore playful expressive movements that raise self awareness, lift the spirit and invoke joy. It is a fusion of yoga, dance, world music and meditation, deeply inspired by the yoga philosophy and highly focused on self expression. This practice is also a journey into the energetic body, the chakra system. No yoga or dance experience is required. Check the schedule for Let Your Yoga Dance workshops. Email or phone to register. Pre-registration required.
"Yin Yoga" Yin Yoga improves flexibility in the body, nourishes the joins and connective tissues as well as supports better health for our organs. A regular Yin practice offers us the opportunity to turn our attention inward and listen to our inner voice and guidance. Yin is a great practice for both the beginning yoga student as well as the seasoned yogi. With an emphasis on long holds, passive stretches, and complete releases you will be encouraged to sit with the pose mindfully and with intention, building a focus that allows you to listen to your body and potentially liberate the body's chronic holding patterns and relieve pain.
"Restorative Yoga" Restorative Yoga helps to relax deeply and completely, helps relieve the effects of chronic stress and engages the parasympathetic nervous system. If you are suffering from "burnout", anxiety, depression or just can't get off that crazy busy life treadmill, come to a restorative class. You will leave feeling more balanced, grounded and energized. Bring your own mat, blanket, straps and blocks if you have them. They are available at the studio as well.
"Laughter Yoga" Laughter Yoga is a revolutionary idea, simple and profound. Laughter Yoga combines simple laughter exercises, clapping, chanting, and gentle yoga breathing and body movement. Depressed, anxious or lonely? Or just want to laugh in community? Check my schedule for the next Laughter Yoga Workshop or contact me to set up a Laughter Yoga session at your work place or for your retreat/conference/family reunion!
